BILLY GOAT

Tyler chose to become a Prosthetist/Orthotist after seeing the life-changing impact of excellent prosthetic care on a close friend who lost his leg to bone cancer.

An Idaho native, Tyler earned his degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. After completing his residency, he continued working in the Houston Medical Center (the largest in the world), where he spent several years specializing in Pediatric care. As a young father of four handsome boys, Tyler is incredibly gifted in working with children and loves helping them achieve their mobility goals. His passion for his work comes from seeing children gain confidence, independence, and the ability to participate in activities they may have thought were impossible.

IAN SMITH MS, CPO, LPO

Ian’s journey into Orthotics and Prosthetics began as a child in Mesa, AZ, when working in his father’s shop sparked his interest in the field and helped him overcome his fear of injuring his hands.

Ian studied exercise science at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, and completed his Master’s of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. Throughout his residency, he slowly made his way back west and started with Goal in Utah before bringing his wife and two kids back home to Arizona. Ian now specializes in pediatrics, upper limb, and hand prosthetics. He truly loves helping people overcome their challenges and reach their personal potential while working alongside incredible therapy teams and the people he serves.

ADAM WAUGH MS, CPO

Adam’s passion for Orthotics and Prosthetics comes from his personal experience with friends and family members who have used these devices. This has given him a deep understanding of the impact and dedication involved in providing quality care.

Adam is from Michigan and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, followed by his Master’s Degree from the University of Texas Southwestern. He completed his residency at Texas Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital. After residency, Adam moved to Indiana, where he spent over seven years specializing in pediatric bracing, including cranial remolding services, scoliosis bracing, lower extremity bracing, and lower extremity prosthetics. Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and dogs. They especially love exploring the hiking trails and national parks that Utah has to offer.

DAVID PATTERSON MS CO, LO

David has always had a strong passion for working with children, which led him to discover his calling in pediatric orthotics while volunteering at Shriners Hospital for Children.

David earned his Master’s Degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Baylor College of Medicine and specialized his residency in pediatric care. After completing his residency, he worked at a pediatric orthotics clinic in Houston, Texas, alongside two dual-certified Physical Therapists/Orthotists. He later helped open a new practice location for the clinic in Austin, Texas. With both his and his wife’s families in the West, David eventually returned to the mountains. Fluent in Spanish, David loves helping amazing kids improve their mobility, gain confidence, and reach their goals.

DALLEN WHEELWRIGHT PT, DPT

Dallen is Goal Pediatric Orthotics’ first full-time Physical Therapist. His passion for helping children and applying his therapy skills to pediatric orthotics made him a valuable part of the team.

Dallen first connected with Goal while completing his rotations in Mesa, AZ, after attending Midwestern University in Phoenix. With his roots in Utah, he later reached out about opportunities to return home, and we invited him to shadow for a few weeks to explore how his PT background could help children receive the right therapy tools, including braces and orthotics. Those few weeks quickly turned into a full-time role, and Dallen has been an invaluable asset ever since. Fluent in Spanish, Dallen has a natural gift for working with kids, and his physical therapy background helps the entire team provide more well-rounded and thorough care for every patient.
